What the project is about: in order to create more awareness of plastic waste in and around the district our church is situated in, Heilige Huisjes has matched our church with a famous Rotterdam artist Eddy Kaijser. Mr Kaijser has done similar projects in Rotterdam, always using plastic waste to create colourful and impressive art. For us he has designed an artwork called “The eye of the storm”. This is a beautiful metaphor for what our church can be for people in these turbulent times. See his website: www.ideddy.com

The official opening for the art installation is from 15-17:00 on Friday the 9th, although the church is open from 13:00 and Saturday 10-17:00.
