We are grieved at the loss of Her Late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, the Late Governor of our Church.
At this time we all have many thoughts, memories, and feelings. As a congregation, we will mark this occasion solemnity, even as we remember that in the resurrection of Jesus Christ death has been ultimately defeated.
A statement by the Archbishop of Canterbury may be read here.
The church bells will ring Friday at noon along with all the other Anglican churches across our diocese. Please take a moment at that time to give thanks for the life of Elizabeth and to pray for His Majesty King Charles III -- as well as all those in authority in this and every land.
St. Mary's will be open on Saturday (10/9) from 14:00 to 16:00 for quiet prayer and meditation. Messages for the Royal Family may also be left. If you would like to sign the Church of England's online memorial book, you made do so here.
Our Sunday morning worship service (11/9)will continue as planned, and will include thanksgiving for the life of Her Late Majesty and the public singing of the amended National Anthem.
A Memorial Service is being planned and will be announced as soon as the time and date are set.
